In each finished canvas, there is a little bit of the artist’s soul. Through her work, Liza shares emotions evoked by our natural world that cannot be communicated by words alone and seeks to transport the viewer across dimensions of time and place to a shared experience.
A self-taught artist, Liza credits her father, architectural illustrator and designer Tibor Karsai, for making his workspace her childhood playground, sometimes unintentionally. Among Liza’s earliest memories is using an Exacto knife to bring her father’s drafting support to life.
Liza has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and internationally, including living for a year in Scotland. Throughout her travels, she has always found quiet places of nature in even the busiest cities, never missing an opportunity to enjoy the restorative properties of being off the beaten path.
Liza is an associate member of Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society.
